Our group is concentrated in the research on topologies, modulations, and control schemes of power converters in various applications based on different voltage levels, where multiple practical aspects are taken into consideration, such as low cost, high efficiency, low distortions in outputs, and fast transient responses.

  • Utility-voltage level: electrical vehicle(EV), photovoltaic(PV), microgrid
  • Medium-voltage level: active-front end(AFE) rectifier, medium-voltage(MV)-induction machine(IM) drive
  • High-voltage level: high voltage direct current transmission(HVDC), high capacity synchronous machine(SM) drive
