Join the lab

The Piovia-Scott Lab highly encourages scholars from underrepresented populations to apply.

Graduate Students

I do not currently have funding to support a new student starting in the 2020-2021 academic year. I am open to accepting new students if they have external fellowship support. If you are interested in applying, please send me your CV and a brief statement regarding research interests and career goals.

Application information can be found here (I currently accept students through the Biology Program), our program offers both Ph.D. and M.S. degrees.

WSU offers graduate fellowship opportunities for African Americans, Hispanic/Latinx, Native Americans, Alaskan Natives, Native Hawaiians, and Pacific Islanders.

Postdoctoral Researchers

I do not currently have funding for a postdoc. Those with outside funding, or interested in writing an application for outside funding with me as supervisor, are encouraged to contact me at any time with a specific statement about the proposed research topic and the potential source of funding.

Undergraduate Students

WSUV undergraduates interested in our lab’s research are encouraged to contact me to talk about ways to participate.
