Assefaw Gebremedhin is currently serving or has recently served the community in his research area in several ways: serving in proposal review panels, serving in book reviews, organizing conferences and minisymposia, serving in technical program committees, and serving as a referee for papers submitted to a variety of journals and conferences on algorithms, parallel and distributed computing, scientific computing, and theoretical computer science. He also serves in various university committees at WSU.
