RESEARCH SCOPE

I study the complex phenotype-genotype associations between sleep and cognition. I use functional genetic polymorphisms as a tool to understand the underlying neurobiological mechanisms associated with inter-individual differences in cognitive impairment during sleep loss. Recently, I have taken interest in investigating how circadian disruption increases the risk of poor health outcomes, including metabolic health and cancer.
