Current Partnerships

Center for Excellence in Journalism, Armenia. Murrow is partnered with the American University in Armenia (AUA) on a total of $2.3 million in U.S. State Department grants to create a graduate journalism degree and accompanying training center for working journalists at AUA. The project launched in the fall of 2023. It is modeled on Pakistan’s U.S. funded Center for Excellence in Journalism, which involved the country’s first professionally focused journalism Master’s degree, designed by Dr. Pintak, who served as advisor to the U.S. State Department on the project.

Murrow will design the new AUA journalism curriculum in collaboration with the AUA team, advise AUA’s leadership on the program’s structure and staffing, and help train instructors. Murrow faculty will visit AUA for guest lectures and to lead short seminars for working journalists, Murrow will host AUA journalism faculty, organize U.S. media industry internships for AUA students, and be involved in the program in a variety of other ways.

University of Novi Sad (UNS), Serbia. The project includes a joint course, “International Journalism in the Age of Misinformation,” led by Dr. Pintak and a UNS faculty member and including students from both schools.
