The goal of the International Journalism Education Initiative is to facilitate the ability of Murrow College to serve as a catalyst for advancing j-education, addressing emerging challenges, and promoting ethical journalism.
Our vision is to create a global hub for journalism education: fostering collaboration, innovation, and the exchange of knowledge among journalism educators, professionals, and students worldwide.
Through the support of U.S. embassies across the former Soviet bloc and the Global South, and the assistance of other organizations and individual donors, we partner with universities to share international best practices, drive curriculum reform, train faculty in the latest advances in journalism education, and expose students to U.S. and international approaches to ethical, responsible, fact-based journalism in the face of the global plague of mis- and disinformation and the host of challenges to independent journalism.
