We have always research projects with opportunities for PhD and undergraduate students. If you feel that you would like to join our lab, please contact me at Knoblauch@wsu.edu to discuss current opportunities.
We use molecular tools to generate transgenic plants, fusion proteins, recombinant proteins etc., as well as biochemical tools for protein isolation, purification, and identification. Our major focus, however, is usually bioimaging and micromanipulation in order to answer plant related questions that have an impact on current global issues such as climate change or food security.
Before applying for a position, it is often beneficial to contact other PhD students from the lab and briefly discuss the all day life as a researcher and to get impressions about the lab.
