Laboratory for Atmospheric Research ICECAPS Experiment

ICECAPS stands for the Integrated Characterization of Energy, Atmospheric state, Clouds, and Precipitation at Summit field experiment. An article that describes the experiment can be found here. This project has been sponsored by the National Science Foundation’s Arctic Observing Network (AON) since 2009. Data acquisition began at Summit Station, Greenland in April 2010, and continues through today. Quicklook plots of the various ICECAPS instruments can be found through NOAA ESRL’s ICECAPS Data Browser.
