School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering
Modeling, Motion, and Medical Robotics Laboratory (M3 Robotics Lab)
RESOURCES
Fume Hood
Used for safely working with chemicals and potentially harmful vapors.
Elastomer Casting
Used for producing complex shapes made of various elastomers for tunably-compliant materials research.
3D Printing
Used for rapid prototyping when small, custom parts are needed. The printer in the M3 Robotics Lab is a Lulzbot TAZ 6, capable of printing with PLA, HIPS, ABS, PET, co-polyester, nylon, polycarbonate, wood and metal composites, and more. The TAZ 6 also has a large build envelope that can print parts nearly as big as a soccer ball.
