Summary:
Philip is currently a clinical resident at the department of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the WSU School of Pharmacy in Dr. Mary Paine’s lab. Philip’s research focus is on clinical botanical drug interactions and pharmacokinetics, in vitro drug interactions, and mass spectrometry analysis.
Prior to admittance to pharmacy school, Philip became licensed as a pharmacy technician in Missouri and worked as a technician for a year at CVS Pharmacy. After starting the PharmD curriculum at the University of Missouri-Kansas City, he transitioned to a licensed pharmacy intern and continued to work at CVS Pharmacy for four more years. During his PharmD curriculum, Philip shadowed in research labs and was the President of Rho Chi. Upon graduation, he was accepted to the PhD program at the University of Florida College of Pharmacy. Philip’s research interests include in vitro and clinical drug interactions, genotyping, and mass spectrometry analysis. During his PhD, Philip worked as a licensed pharmacist in Florida for five years at CVS Pharmacy and currently maintains his pharmacist licensure in Missouri and Florida.
