Roley Lab
Watershed Biogeochemistry
Welcome to the Roley Watershed Biogeochemistry Lab! We study nutrient transformations in freshwaters and the surrounding landscape. Right now, we are working on these specific projects:
- The ecological significance of nitrogen fixation in perennial grasses (Carmella, Shawnee)
- The effect of overabundant riverine macrophyte growth on stream water quality (Aaron, Maryam)
- Long-term health of Omak and Liberty Lakes (Riley)
- Large river metabolism and greenhouse gas emissions (Jarod)
- Nutrient dynamics in eastern Washington agricultural streams (Vanessa)
