May 2018: Prof. Song has presented an invited talk at the 233rd Electrochemical Society (ECS) Meeting (International Symposium on Nanomaterials session) in Seattle, WA.

April 2018: Prof. Song has presented an invited seminar at Microsoft in Redmond, WA.

April 2018: Prof. Song has received the Outstanding Teaching Award from the School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering, WSU.

April 2018: Prof. Song was selected as the Top 10 WSU Industry-engaged Researchers in 2017 by Office of Research, WSU.

November 2017: Prof. Song has presented an invited seminar at KAIST (Daejeon, Korea) in the Graduate School of Energy, Environment, Water and Sustainability (EEWS).

April 2016: Prof. Song has presented an invited talk at the 6th Annual Next-Generation Energy Storage 2016 Conference (Next-Generation Batteries, Materials & Chemistries track) in San Diego, CA.

March 2016: Michael has done it again! He has received a Crimson Award (the first place in the Engineering and Physical Science category) for his research presented at the Showcase for Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities (SURCA) at WSU. Big congratulations!

March 2016: Michael has received the second Best Oral Presentation Award at “Paper Night”, an ASM-sponsored annual research competition event for undergraduate students between WSU and University of Idaho.

March 2016: Michael has won the NASA Space Grant Scholarship for his undergraduate research in our lab! We are so happy for you and please keep up your good works.

December 2015: Prof. Song has presented an invited talk at Oregon State University (Corvallis, OR) in the DGIST-OSU Bilateral Symposium on Green Energy Generation and Storage.

October 2015: We are so excited to have Jung-In as a Postdoctoral Fellow in our group! Hope you will have an amazing time working with us.

August 2015: We welcome new PhD students: Panpan and Xiahui. Off to a good start!

August 2015: We have fabricated our first batteries in our lab. Yes, we are electrified!

July 2015: We have finished setting up our laboratory. Full steam ahead!

February 2015: Michael has joined our group as a “first” undergraduate researcher. We are making history!

January 2015: We welcome our “first” graduate students: Younghwan and Shuo. Welcome on board!

January 2015: Dr. Min-Kyu Song has joined Washington State University as an Assistant Professor, effective January 1, 2015.
