A paper co-authored by Chris Austin and Tahira Probst will be presented in a symposium at SIOP that has been selected as one of 4 finalists for the 2017 SIOP Best Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender (LGBT) Research Award.
Dr. Probst has been awarded a Visiting Professor Research Award from the University of Rome to conduct health and safety research in Italy during 2017. With her collaborators, Dr. Laura Petitta and Dr. Claudio Barbaranelli, their joint research project seeks to identify the contributing role of the current financial crisis with its concomitant economic stressors toward predicting safety attitudes, behaviors, and accidents among workers within Italy.
Dr. Probst and Dr. Alexander Dimitrov were awarded a $24,000 WSU Student Success Seed Grant from the Provost’s Office for their project entitled, Interventions to Instill a Growth Mindset among Students in Math-Intensive Gateway Courses. The project runs from 7/1/2016 to 12/31/2018.
Dr. Probst was awarded a $50,000 grant from CPWR: The Center for Construction Research and Training to develop and validate an interactive online safety climate assessment tool for use in the construction industry. This project is active from 7/1/2015-8/31/2016. The newly developed tool is available at: www.safetyclimateassessment.org
