Prospective Students

Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Students

Dr. Liao does not plan to recruit Clinical Psychology Ph.D. students for the Fall 2026 cycle (December 1, 2025 application deadline) and will not consider applications. For more information on applying to the program and other recruiting faculty, check out the Clinical Psychology program website and FAQ page.

Undergraduate Students

Dr. Liao accepts undergraduate research assistants (RAs) depending on space and need. The undergraduate RAs typically participate in a variety of research-related tasks, including running participants, creating research tools/measures, processing data, reading articles, and generating research ideas. RAs who demonstrate independence are welcome to propose research projects or take on a leadership role in an ongoing project. RAs are expected to attend and contribute to lab meetings that typically involve discussion of theories, methodological training, study designs, pilot testing, and/or practice talks (e.g., thesis defenses, conference presentations). RAs typically receive course credits (PSY 498) for their time commitment in the lab.

Interested in joining the Culture, Assessment, and Well-being Lab as an undergrad RA? Please fill out this application and email it and your CV (if available) to the lab manager, Michelle Jung, at michelle.jung@wsu.edu.
