March 14, 2018 – Joey DeShields joined in a team led by Kathleen Parker (USDA-ARS) for their outreach activity at the Mary Walker High School in Springdale, WA. The team interacted with ~120 high school students to introduce our research at WSU and demonstrate other scientific techniques. This event was a part of the STEM educational outreach program “Pumping Up the Math and Science Pipeline: Grade School to College.”
