May 1, 2019 – Misumi Sano successfully defended her WSU Honor thesis. Misumi joined our lab as a CAHNRS summer intern and started her own research in our lab with the WSU Honors College program since 2017. Her dissertation title was “Investigation of pattern-triggered immune responses in an ancient plant, the moss Physcomitrella patens.” Special thanks to Dr. Cynthia Gleason for spending time for evaluating Misumi’s writing and presentation. Dr. Grant Norton was the chair of the defense.
