July 29, 2022 – Hailey Reed (Okanogan High School, Tonasket, WA) completed a internship with the Upward Bound Program. This program is an STEM educational outreach program “Pumping Up the Math and Science Pipeline: Grade School to College” organized by Dr. David Weller and Kathleen Parker (USDA-ARS). Hailey spent one month in our lab to have scientific knowledge and experience in plant pathology. Hailey enjoyed lab work and interacting with our lab members.
