August 4, 2017 – Hunter Sagaskie (a junior undergraduate at the Central Michigan University) successfully completed his internship with the WSU Native American REU Program. This program is a part of the Research Opportunities for Native Undergraduate Students organized by Drs. Amit Dhingra and Lori Carris. Hunter spent ~2 month in our lab to learn lab techniques and skills in molecular biology and biochemistry. During his internship, he communicated with our lab members to advance his scientific knowledge and experience. He also attended a weekly meeting in the Dhingra lab and our lab, respectively. Special thanks to his mentor, Matt Marcec.
