August 3, 2018 – Zack Dokins (from Boise State University) successfully completed his internship with the WSU Native American REU Program. He presented a poster as a summary of his internship research at the WSU Summer Research SymposiumThis internship was a part of the Research Opportunities for Native American Undergraduate Students organized by Drs. Amit Dhingra and Lori Carris. Zack spent two months in our lab to learn experimental techniques and research skills in molecular biology and biochemistry using plants. During his internship, he communicated well with our lab members to advance his scientific knowledge and experience. Zack made a great contribution to our research program. Special thanks to his mentor, Matt Marcec.
