August 3, 2018 – Tumelo Moyo (from National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe) completed her internship with a international undergraduate intern program. This international internship program was a part of curriculum in National University of Science and Technology, Zimbabwe. Tumelo spent 15 month in our lab to learn experimental techniques and research skills in molecular plant pathology. Her research focus was to develop a transient infection system using potato hairy roots to study powdery scab disease. Special thanks to Natalia Moroz and Karen Fritch for mentoring and assisting the Tumelo’s research.
