August 2, 2019 – Evelyn Bohnee (from University of Idaho) completed her internship with the WSU Native American REU Program. She presented a poster as a summary of her internship research at the WSU Summer Research SymposiumThis internship was a part of the Research Opportunities for Native American Undergraduate Students organized by Drs. Amit Dhingra and Lori Carris. Evelyn spent two months in our lab to learn experimental techniques and research skills in plant molecular biology and pathology, e.g., genotyping, phenotyping, pathogen infectivity assay, etc. Special thanks to her mentor, Matt Marcec.
