July 31, 2019 – Kay Bobadilla (Tonasket High School, Tonasket, WA) completed her internship with the Upward Bound Program (from Okanoga County). This program is an STEM educational outreach program “Pumping Up the Math and Science Pipeline: Grade School to College” organized by Dr. David Weller and Kathleen Parker (USDA-ARS). Kay spent one month to advance her scientific knowledge and experience. She really enjoyed lab work and interacting with our lab members. Special thanks to her mentors, Natalia Moroz and Arlene Mora-Romero.
