August 4, 2023 – Jerry Wang, an undergraduate student at WSU, successfully concluded his internship and showcased his internship research through a poster presentation at the WSU Summer Research Symposium. Special thanks to her mentor, Hira Kamal, for her guidance and support. This internship was a component of the summer REU programs led by IBC faculty Andrei Smertenko and Laura Bartley, funded by NSF and USDA. Eighteen trainees, based in the labs of PIs Bates, Sanguinet, Sullivan, Steber, and Tanaka, presented at the WSU summer research symposium supported by the WSU Office for Undergraduate Research.
