Spex 8000M Mixer/Mill
Company bought by Cole Parmer, now listed as BM-400 for the purposes of acessories.
High-energy ball mill that accommodates samples ranging from 4 mL to 10 mL for grinding, and up to 60 mL for blending powders or mixing emulsions.
Accepts grinding/mixing vials from 1.75″ (4.5 cm) to 3.125″ (7.9 cm) in length and up to 2.25″ (5.7 cm) in diameter. Also accepts vials as small as 0.5″ x 1″ (12.7 x 25.4 mm) with proper adapter.
Current vessels available include stainless steel, tungsten carbide, silicon nitride, YSZ, and alumina. Vessels and grinding balls are consumable.
