About me

I am a PhD student in the Materials Science and Engineering program at WSU. I am co-advised by Dr. John McCloy and Dr. Min-kyu Song. I did two years of undergraduate research focused on Lithium Sulfur batteries and I am now looking into glass and glass-ceramic systems for use in electrochemical storage systems. Specifically, I am looking at vanadium based glasses for cathodes in lithium batteries and NASICON-type materials for solid electrolytes. The goal of the research is to improve understanding of how modified glass structures affect electrochemical properties from redox behavior to ionic conductivity.
