Next Boot Camp: May 21-23, 2019

Location: Washington State University; Pullman, WA

The Microwave Assisted Pasteurization System (MAPS) and Microwave Assisted Thermal Sterilization (MATS) Technology Boot Camp provides unique opportunities for participants to evaluate and explore applications of novel microwave technology for the production of high-quality, ready-to-eat, shelf-stable or chilled meals.

The 3-day camp consists of 2 main components:

  1. Classroom lectures on the basics behind the technology, procedures for process development, and validation for regulatory acceptance.
  2. Hands-on product preparation and pilot-scale testing that allow attendees to prepare and process their own samples in on-site MAPS and MATS machines for product evaluation.

The camp will also facilitate discussion on how MATS and MAPS prepared products compare with other competing technologies and the potential for application in your company.
