Dr. Gang founded and oversees operation of TIMPL. He loves to discuss science and how tools such as mass spectrometry can be used to further our understanding of life on earth. And, yes, in another life he will work as a volcanologist and study the gases (using tools like mass spectrometry) that are emitted by them. He is also currently serving as Assistant Director of the Office of Research for WSU’s College of Agricultural, Human and Natural Resource Sciences.

Dodge joined TIMPL in  January 2020 to continue research in imaging mass spectrometry. He learned about mass spectrometry in his graduate studies at the University of Florida and pursued this line of research ever since. His experience came from his postdoctoral fellowship in Mount Sinai School of Medicine,  and as a scientist for UF Institute for Therapeutic Innovation and UT MD Anderson Cancer Center.  On his offdays, he enjoys playing music, cooking and travelling.
