Hannah Peha

Hannah Peha is from Walla Walla, Washington. She was an undergraduate at Washington State University studying Agricultural Biotechnology. She will completed her Bachelor of Science in Integrated Plant Sciences in the spring of 2023. Additionally, she is minored in Horticulture and German, and was a member of the Honors College. She was an Ambassador for the College of Agriculture, Human and Natural Resource Sciences (CAHNRS) and a member of Minorities in Agriculture, Natural Resource and Related Sciences (MANRRS). In the lab, she is assisted with a project working on spot form net blotch with Shaun Clare. She aimed to identify a gene within the pathogen responsible for infecting barley. She was grateful to be working with people who value the important things in life, like beer! In her free time she enjoys reading, watching movies, attending WSU volleyball games, traveling, walking her dog, eating Ferdinand’s ice cream, group fitness classes, and game nights. Hannah is currently a PhD student at UC Davis in the Genetics and Genomics program!
